Alpine Springs Open Daily 10am - 10pm
 

Welcome to Alpine Springs, one of New Zealands leading tourism attractions. Situated at the base of Mt John in Lake Tekapo Alpine Springs is a year round destination for the whole family. Offering stunning vistas of Lake Tekapo and the Mackenzie region, and a range of fun activities including Hot Pools, Ice Skating Rink, Day Spa, Snow Park featuring a new Magic Carpet and a fully licensed Café’. Alpine Springs has recently introduced New Zealand's first Summer Tube Ride making Tubing a year round attraction in Lake Tekapo.  Alpine Springs has something to offer for everyone. Open each day from 10am - 10pm the Hot Pools provide a welcome place to relax and enjoy the views over Lake Tekapo and a wide range of activities. The Ice Rink opens at 10am and runs until 9:30pm Sunday to Thursday. Friday & Saturday the Ice Rink is open until 10pm for our Ice Discos. Over the warmer months the Rink is used for Inline skating. The Snow Tubing Park operates 10am-7pm over the winter months. Indulge in the Sauna/Steam Room or take a dip in the Plunge Pool. Alpine Springs is located at the base of Mt John on the shores of Lake Tekapo, a short 2 minute drive from the town centre. Lake Tekapo is located half way between Christchurch and Queenstown, in South Canterbury on the main inland scenic route on State Highway 8. A short and scenic 2.45 hour drive from these main centers.
 
Our hot pools are open ‘til 10 pm over January and 9pm throughout the rest of the year and at 11 pm the floodlighting in the village is turned off so you can enjoy one of the world’s best night …
